I feel that the sales aspect is partly to blame on the fans, including me. I don't see everyone on here saying "I bought it!" like everyone used to do during the TD era. And why is that? We've become complacent. We expect everyone else to do the job.

I think I bought Roar. But I know I never bought Uncle or Dark Horse. I just don't feel like putting 1.29 on my credit card.

I think a lot of fans have turned into lazy people who don't buy singles once they own the album.

Imagine if we DID all buy the single at the same time? Perhaps even multiple days?

I bought Hung Up 16 times, and I bought LFN 7 times, all versions.

This is something not talked about, but I wonder if it has some effect.

Everyone just expects a single to take off the moment its released just because it's been released. If the song went to the top of the charts it wouldnt likely have much longetivity. The thing about Katy is that she always has albums and singles with legs.

I can't at so many people assuming its a flop because its a couple weeks into its release and isn't topping the charts yet. Not EVERY single takes off right away, look at the top 10 right now, a majority of the songs slowly crept their way to the top position over time.

I bought the album already so there's no point to buy it again from the standard version. This is why I want them to release the remix so I can buy it
And they don't even release the single on iTunes so that's not a legit accusation I will at least buy it just because of the single cover

They don't really release anything, when you look for Birthday, you're shown the album with Birthday highlighted, presumable to promote PRISM. I've already bought PRISM so why should I just buy it again? I've already bought 3 copies, 5 tickets to ha tours, her movie tickets/DVD and I bought Roar, WoA, and DH (3 copies since I did gifting). Don't tell me her fans are lazy tho. Only things left are her perfumes and false lashes.
