I agree totally as well. I like Christina when she's subtle.

You know, for once I just wish people would grow up. I am not denying that Christina is not at the top of the music industry, nor ever was. She has always been overshadowed, but she's not trying to be anyone else, as Dani explained. She is original and does what the **** she wants.
People here are so lame as well. Christina has accomplished so much and more than many others have in such a short amount of time. People care about her, which is why this thread has garnished over 180 posts and countless views. I just wish people would grow the **** up already, seriously.

Exactly, when I think "superstar" she does not come to mind. I don't know what it is about her. It's the same with Hilary Duff and Jessica Simpson. None of them fascinate me in the least.

Are you seriously comparing Christina with those failures?

Tib, I'm not trying to be mean or anything because I do like some of her songs, mostly from "Stripped" but Christina Aguilera is not exactly what you'd call original. I usually don't agree with r0bz_ but he's got a point, she has, in fact, copied many things that Madonna did in the 90's, and no, I'm not saying that Madonna is the most original artist in the music industry either. =/

Harsh.
But imo, Christina is a crap popstar really. Her last CD was unbearable. I do like some songs from Stripped but even then she was a mediocre popstar. But I don't think she is going for big sales or anything though, she is just having fun and experimenting with her music. Good for her, but her last experiment was dreadful. I think that she got so big headed after Stripped so she thought that whatever she did would work. Even though she didn't get success with her last album, it's interesting to see that she is not rushing to big name producers to score a big hit so she doesn't fade away, she is still working with those same people and has yet another themed album. I think the next album will probably be for the hardcore fans who admire her voice, but the album would ultimately fail severley, though the lead single will get attention. I think she will turn out like Cyndi Lauper or Kate Bush in a few years to come, some people still know who she is but her singles and albums wont be a hit commercially, but the critics would love her. It is already starting to happen.

I agree with everything you said. Actually, this thread is a joke since the beginning. Christina Aguilera is far from having trouble on 'coming back' or whatsoever.
