Kesha Talks New Music + Recovery With MTV
The last time we heard from recording artist Kesha Sebert, she had exited rehab (March 6th, to be exact.) and was working on new music. Fast forward to today, April 21st, and we already got music news. And the very first interview since she left rehab.
First off, Kesha, how are you feeling?
"Honestly, I'm good! I'm feeling super happy and confident for like, the first time in a while, and I'm really excited to release new music
Is recovery going good?
"Yes, I recover more and more every single day, I'm healthier now.  "
How long have you been writing for this album?
"Since early September, since I've had tons of free time to write and work on the record.  "
Is U Suck Ass the first single?
" no, but that doesn't mean I'm not releasing it  "
Are we getting a new album anytime soon?
"Well, I've been thinking about releasing an EP before the album, like a week or two after the first single is out, since there's a s**t ton of new songs, but I'm thinking about it."
That was quick.
"I've been missing the animals so much, I practically need to release some new stuff  It's been too long!"
Speaking of the animals, a fan of yours created a petition against Dr. Luke that has gained 11k signatures in the span of a year. How do you feel about this?
"I'm not ready to talk about that whole [Dr. Luke] issue yet, but my fans mean the world to me, and the fact that so many of them signed a petition like that for me and they just continue to support me is just..amazing."
Besides releasing the lead single and album, what else do you plan on doing?
"Like I said I've missed seeing my fans so much, I'm definitely gonna do a huge tour this era, and I want to get back into spreading awareness for things and doing some charity work  "
Is there anything you can say about the new single?
"Yes, it's gonna be out Tuesday, and it's a very risky choice but I love it "

Ciara just released her brand new single "Heartbeat" on iTunes. The song is written by Ciara and produced by Ciara. Wanting to branch out to new sounds while remaining true to herself, the song Heartbeat was created. The song was premiered on Z100 during an interview with Ciara. A video for Heartbeat is in the works and rumors are circulating that the single cover is from the video.

So Ciara, you've always shied away from Pop music? What made you change your mind?
I always felt so uncomfortable recording pop music, I felt that I was disappointing my fans and like I was ruining my reputation. I learned though, that I have fans that greatly appreciate my pop efforts. On my last album I had a song called "Overdose" and that was one of the fan favorites and that's when I immediately realized "I can do this, I will record a pop record and the fans will still be happy. So I went in the studio and recorded "Heartbeat"
Your upcoming album, will it also be pop? Do you have any names for the upcoming album?
I have a few names swirling around my head for the album cover but I have no definite answer for that yet. I'm not even sure if it'll be an album. It may be an EP, you'll just have to see! Whatever it is, you're going to know it's Ciara and there will be some more pop.
Any plans on touring for whatever this upcoming project is?
I want to tour. I want to tour now, actually. As soon as I can, I'm going to go on tour. I know my fans want to see me and I want to see them. So you guys better all keep on the lookout for a tour. It may come before the album, it may come after. Either way, be on the lookout because it's coming.

Kesha Tweets Song Lyrics, Fan Hospitalized?
Okay so, this is messy. Gold Trans Am singer Kesha tweeted some lyrics (reportedly from an unreleased song for her third album, Wolf Song.) and it gained like over a million retweets and favorites, breaking records, twitter, the sanity of her fans and more. What's the tweet in question? Here
The impact was so real that a fan from Wisconsin was reportedly hospitalized due to "slayage" (or a heart attack), though the fan in question was quoted to say "I didn't go to the hospital dnjs". This is all a mess.
