Being a rockstar is more about attitude and persona, to me, than literally making rock music...but I agree that she's not a rockstar. She has swagger and the occasional good note, but generally she's just 'fine' live.

I just don't think you can afford to spend that long on a pop album. Unless you're making something that doesn't rely on sounding current, and/or is introducing a new sound.

She can be considered a rockstar, ofc she doesn't play rock, but because of her lifestyle and fame. The rockstars of these days aren't rockers, because there are not uber famous rockers now, unless you just wanna consider those 60yo legends.
