But yeah, it's warnable to not use spoiler tags where it is required, but I didn't exactly know what category to warn it in either honestly.

I can actually only solve this by giving a spoiler, the books don't disclose who did it so no points should be given

I don't know. Even if that's the case, it was written as truth in that post. It may be a false spoiler, but it still reads as a spoiler, changing your expectations of the show. It was also written in that thread that the books don't disclose it, but that it is definitely implied.

You can make a help request if you want to appeal the warning, as the mod who warned you isn't around I think.
