Don't kill me but I feel like Mine/Speak Now is an example.  The momentum from Fearless was huge, that was what made Mine debut top 3 and Speak Now debuting with a million. But then it went nowhere on radio (pop at least). |
After the huge debuts, the era slowly faded. So it's safe to say that in case Adele and Taylor releases in the same time, it;ll be a tough fight. I hope Taylor reign supreme (at least in US).
And guys don't ever call the Daydreamers, Adelephants (even tho its funny). We have to be friends with them

I think it also depends on her first single, if it flops, She'll lose around 100k-200k copies
