Oh I see. Let's hope it does. Is Urban at least giving it a chance?
I doubt it. He usually needs a collab with big urban stars to get urban play (like Love the Way You Lie or Forever). However, Rap God got quite a lot of spins for a promo single.
Letting the song smash on Hot AC, triple A and AC first raises familiarity and it's more likely that it's gonna get good call out scores when it's released on POP. Releasing it right away is risky. Labels do that with core HOT AC/AC artists. Recently, it worked with American Authors. It was like July/August of 2013 when the song got its first spins on HOT AC and it's still gaining on POP now.
Ain't It Fun and Justin are smashing on the brand new call out scores. YAAAS!
American Top 40 followers, are there any threads that archive old Top 40 charts dating back to the 80's 90's, and Year ender countdowns and such Would like to know! Thanks
