"Miles Away" will impress the Adult Contemporary crowd, but the problem is I think most adults are going to go to the store and then be totally turned off by the album cover and decide to just buy the single instead. The cover of Hard Candy alienates a lot of potential buyers because it's so sexually overt. I think maybe if she releases "Devil Wouldn't Recognize You" in addition to "Miles Away" she will have a bit more success with the older crowd.

I think 'Devil Wouldn't Recognize You' would do a lot better than 'Miles Away.

I totally agree, Bobby. Even to this day, I still think that the album would sell a lot more if it had a better album cover. Anyone who would want to buy the album, or attempted to buy it, would or was most likely turned off by the cover. To Madonna fans, it looks good, but for those who aren't fans, it's repulsive. I'm a fan, but I think it's her worst album cover. Oh, and I agree with you and Anthony about Devil. I still would like it to be released. Right now, I think Devil, MA, and BGO would do great. BGO might be a hit with the youth like 4 Minutes was, MA can be a hit with AC, and the same with Devil. However, we need to get a confirmation from WB soon about the next, and possibly final, single from HC.

Well WB announced prior to the album release that they would like to release five singles from this album. If that's the case, they should release each of the three songs you mentioned in order to get the highest sales from the album. I've heard rumors about "Heartbeat" being a single but I don't think that's a good choice.

5 singles? Hmm, I'm not sure if they will follow through with that. They said they would release 5 singles from Confessions, yet we only got 4. However, I would like it if they would release 5 singles. Also, Madonna herself confirmed in a radio interview that Miles Away would be a single, so we are guaranteed that MA will definitely be a single. I still think that Devil or BGO should be released before it.

:-/ The photoshoot was a disaster, none of the pictures were really good enough to be used on the album cover IMO.
