I've never seen things like Rihplay, HistoRIH etc being warned since it's not a Rihanna nickname.
Since the "nicknames" rule was introduced. Anytime you mangle a portion of a celeb's name with another word, it's warnable. "RIHplay" is nickname for Rihanna, substituting the "re" with "rih" pretty much confirms that.

Do you guys permanently delete threads or move them to a hidden section?
I don't know about the latter, but the software is soft-delete only so there's never any real deletion. So basically threads, posts, etc. are just hidden.
