the hype had nothing to do with Beyoncé's music, as always. It was all about her image. There was so much speculation last year about her album release, specially because of the Super Bowl, her gigantic Pepsi promo, not to mention her tour. It all build a lot of hype around a release.
The moment she dropped the album without previous announcement, people were so amazed and hyped by the marketing strategy that they praised the album to high heavens.
It's not that hard to understand.

Prism as a whole is a **** album but works very well as individual singles.
Katy is a quick little singles artist. Lucky for her those quick little singles are Good, slay the charts and help sell the **** album.

There was no guarentee that the surprise release was going to do well.

The Superbowl was almost a year prior so why would that carry hype into her album release?

We didn't even know for sure SOTS, and Grown Woman would be on the album....

Everyone who recommended or praised "Blade Runner," where are you? Get in here.
I just finished watching the film and, I must say, I am none too pleased.

I can definitely see why the film was polarizing. I'm definitely on the negative side of public opinion, granted I wasn't expecting much to begin with. "Blade Runner" moved way too slowly. It took 55 minutes, 55 minutes, for a single event to happen. Truly torturous. It was bringing back memories of watching Terrence Malick's "The Tree of Life." I only have two positive comments on "Blade Runner." 1. The set design was beautiful. Some of the shots in the film were vibrant and absolutely striking.

And 2. Roy Batty's monologue was the only great, emotionally impactful piece of writing in the entire film.

"I've... seen things you people wouldn't believe. [contemptuous laugh] Attack ships on fire off
the shoulder of Orion. I watched c-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate.
All those... moments... will be lost in time, like [small cough] tears... in rain."

I understand human emotions, and although I do not feel them myself, even that scene triggered something for me.



Unfortunately, sitting through "Blade Runner," a nearly two-hour film, for
those two positives is most definitely not worth. Wait for the remake, kids.

It is average at best, considering the success of her singles, promo and the fact she's the biggest popstar in the world right now. 2.7 million is lackluster actually.

Uncle was intended to be a single, and because it didn't go top ten it was called a Buzz Single so 4 singles dear, lets not.

Do you really think Katy's album can sustain as long as TD? I mean she's not even outsold OOTB despite being infinitely bigger of an artist now. She will run out of singles long before a year and a half, and a re release won't help.

The Bar is set high but that should be no issue for "The World's Biggest Popstar"
