Beyonce has more on her side because she's had a longer career. She has sold more records, fragrances, has a great background in touring. Beyonce has what Gaga, Katy, and Rihanna are striving for. She has kept a cleaner image, and she's also married, and from one of the biggest girl group of all time. Matter of fact almost ALL of the Girls from Destiny's Child have clean images to the GP, and at one time had the resources Beyonce had(same vocal coach, producers, connections).
Gaga isn't a better singer, dancer, performer, she may seem more entertaining but for all the WRONG reasons.
Beyonce's release was the first of its kind, and yielded great success. SO I'd imagine it would have greater hype. BTW isn't the first album to be heavily discounted. Gaga had a number one song prior to her album release.
Beyonce is known as someone talented so naturally she trumps Gaga who isn't known for her talent alone.
Whenever she goes to the zoo, I bet the elephants want to mate her
