The beginning starts like it's about to end careers...and then the chorus happens. Story of Britney Jean, the verses carry the album, whereas the choruses, they fall short. The power of strong choruses is needed, especially for a pop album.

I agree that a lot of the choruses on BJ needed work (especially Perfume), but "Don't Cry's" understated chorus made it so somber, mellow and sad. I LOVE that song.

The chorus just doesn't mesh well with the song for me. The song starts with a dark tone to it and actually fit perfectly with her voice, but then the chorus came with an out-of-place attempt being a little upbeat (mid-tempo wise). I would've loved something a little more dark for that chorus. Again, the verses are just perfection. I remember the first time I heard a clip of the song, it was just the verse and it instantly became the song I HAD to hear, but then I got the full song and felt a little let down. It doesn't make me hate the song, but think of, "what could have been."

I mean, It Should Be Easy, could've been EVERYTHING had Will not overly robotized her voice. Had he did that song the processing justice it deserved, it would've been EASILY a single.
