I've seriously been wondering this. Poor Chad has always been overlooked when it seems he might have been the genius behind the Neptunes best work. Pharrell his recent solo work doesn't even hold a candle to it

Neither is this.
And most of us liked her before RED.
She's talented. That's why most of her fans like her. Nothing to do with generic pop (hence why many of us loathe Katy, Rita Ora, etc.)
