Why wouldn't they? ICON's music speaks to all races, nationalities, beliefs, ages and genders. Bey's music is local to American black gays and women in need of empowerment.
I'm male, I live in Turkey and I'm white. Stop generalizing.
I agree with the person who said every country except maybe the US and a few countries with a black majority population. Rihanna does more pop music which is more appealing to everyone everywhere, whether urban music, although global, is just not as popular.
In come the predictable Navy drags with absolutely no regards to context.
Rihanna's music is often euro-pop based. The only time Beyoncé released a Euro-pop song was with 'Sweet Dreams'. Not to mention her weird way of releasing things. Her albums tend to do better as well.

Why does South Korea prefer Beyoncé over Rihanna? Why does Brazil prefer Beyoncé over Rihanna? Why does the Netherlands prefer Beyoncé over Rihanna?
What's so special about Germany that required a thread?
On topic though, Germany has never been one of Bey's strongest markets, but she's certainly not a "non-factor" as some of ATRL likes to believe, I mean, self-titled has sold 85k there already

And I am one of those 85k. Although I'm part of the Navy I'm not afraid to say that Beyoncé is the most talented female in this business.
Her concert was everything. I'm still getting the shivers when I think of that amazing opening.
