Excuse me for enjoying catchy songs. It's not the end of the world if a song is catchy. It only makes it better. Lana has the ability to make her songs very multi-faceted--with the production, the vocals, the lyrics, and still have a catchy-factor. It's just stupid to me that people will like something more just because it's not "catchy."

integral part of creating a good song. Without one, there is no desire for the listener to relisten

You're so right. If you like a song, it's because you're
hooked on it, hence where the word hook came from - the one part of the song that makes people hooked whether its a backbeat, a lyric, etc.
