She has always sounded better with her lower registry than her higher registry. Almost everyone including Rihanna prefer her with a raspy voice, that's her makes her distinguishable on radio also.
I love her deep voice raspy voice too when it sounds good, but I like the angelic higher pitch to. She is queen of versatility so she needs both not just deep voice on radio
It makes me sad Rih voice is getting deeper. I wish she would stop smoking and drinking everyday

Her voice was going to get deeper no matter what. She could be doing more to keep it healthy but she's still in a good place vocally considering her circumstances. I mean the fact that her voice is getting better and not worse is something to be thankful for
