Not too slow. It's as upbeat as any Pharrell. It's too long, but yeah, editing would hurt it.
The chorus is less upbeat than Blurred Lines or Happy. It's not going to grab anyone or get stuck in there head. The "tear this cherry out" segment is the catchiest part of the song but it won't be in the radio edit anyway. Her only chance at a pop hit this era is Pretty Hurts, and I honestly feel like that could flop as well

"XO" was her best chance at pop, but that failed. I've been saying that Beyonce is passed that phase where she will get hits on pop. She does better at just appealing to her main audience and slaying there. Drake and Lil Wayne aren't killing themselves over pop radio.
Blow is definitely getting released as a single because it was Beyonce's original plan. She's too stubborn to back down (especially when the GP essentially picked her last two singles, she had no choice but to release DiL/Partition) and it will be a kii. She'll actually put effort into this single and perform it at multiple places. I can't wait for the meltdowns
XO is terrible and deserved to flop, it sucks and was never going to smash. Poor dat

Beyonce can't and will never accept that she is an urban mainstay and that's it. She wants to keep reliving the glory days but it's not going to happen
