When we're listing is like this it feels Kelly accomplished less than the others
She can release a Duets album when she's 45 and done with pop charts like Reba. A duets album now would kill careers, her own. We don't need that right now

Not so sure which song should get the last spot. Walk Away, Miss Indy and Already Gone were huge hit but a bit local. Already Gone could be up there tho. A moment like this deff belongs up there, it's the song I've heard the most when I was in the Netherlands along with Because Of You. Never Again didn't peak high on the charts WW but it did had some impact. The video is among her most popular ones. But the top 7 songs I've listed are deff her most popular ones worldwide.
In the US it would be:
1. Stronger
2. Since U Been Gone
3. Because Of You
4. Hazel Eyes
5. Already Gone
6. My Life Would Suck Without You
7. Never Again
8. Breakaway
Billboard listed a articale ones of Kelly's biggest hits on the Billboard hot 100, and I believe Already Gone was listed higher than other songs of Kelly's that in fact peaked higher. Already Gone had amazing longevity on the charts which songs like AMLT, Never Again and MLWSWY didn't really have.

That's really not true tho. Not because it didn't chart anywhere else, means it isn't known. It isn't as popular as her other hits, but the majority does know the song. It's popular here in South America (Brazil, Guyana and Suriname) and the Netherlands and France. All countries I've been too I've heard the song there. And when I asked people about Kelly Clarkson, they mention A Moment Like This and American Idol. People forget how much impact American Idol had in pop culture. I Also heard it in the Caribbean.
When artists suddenly blow up, radio stations tend to play songs of their previous albums, and people tend to look up older albums of the aritst. A moment like this IS her signature song here in Suriname.... which is kinda sad

Could be. But I've honestly never heard Leona's version tho. Chart numbers can be deceiving. A song that went #1 because it just had one week of high sales because of a reality show, means nothing to me. During the All I Ever Wanted world tour, I remember people tweeting that they were disappointed she didn't perform A moment Like This, so yeah. It's kinda hard to calculate these things.
But Stronger, Because Of You, Since U Been Gone, My Life Would Suck and Breakaway are deff her most popular songs WW.
Mr.know It All might even creep it's way on there since it was a #1 hit in South Korea and Australia, and a top 10 hit in New Zealand, Poland, United Kingdom, Belgium and the US. Mr.Know It All has a better chart record than Breakaway WW but I honestly doubt it's more popular.

It's not that she's accomplished less, most artists only have a few WW signature songs. The thing is, a signature song is different from a big hit. A song can be a hit WW, but only a few songs actually become signature songs. Signature is like, when you say someones name, the first thing people will reply back. "Kelly Clarkson song.." They will instantly say "Since U Been Gone".

True. A signature song is a song that defines a artist. Whenever you mention the song or lyrics, they instantly scream KELLY CLARKSON! Which is why I think A Moment Like This is one of her signature song, at least in the US.
How can we part signature songs from classic hits tho?

I think because Kelly's career started so early on and she was first American Idol, there wasn't much buzz about on a WW scale. When Leona won her season of X-Factor a few years later, it was at the height of popularity for those kind of shows.
For example, Leona peaking at #3 on the Europe chart means the song was pretty big, because that chart combines single sales from 15 different countries: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.

Didn't know the last part. Thanks for the info. So Because Of You hitting #1 on the European chart was a big deal then? Makes sense since Kelly said it was her biggest hit Worldwide. Stronger could've possibly become as big if Kelly did some promo for the song in Europe.
ETA: Did Stronger chart on the European chart? It should have but I don't see it on wikipedia. It went top 10 in the majority of those European countries.
