I was just looking at those Cher pictures posted on ATRL, going on tour and managing to look better than most of our current popstars at 67. She really is in a league of her own.
Successful tours, ageless beauty, successful film career including oscar for best lead actress, iconic singles, iconic outfits, influence on the music industry, one of the longest careers ever. The only thing she lacks is album sales but damn.
I get that she's written a lot of big songs in the past couple of years but that's not enough, or else they might as well just have put Bonnie Mckee on the list while they're at it.
Fun fact, Bonnie has written more all-time chart entries than those 5 flops combined
Why does everyone tend to overlook 2012, when determining the best year in music of the 10's so far?
Like, no other year is touching these Pop masterpieces.
It really was an amazing year for Pop Music.
Not to mention, the boybands completely slayed that year for some reason. "We Are Young", "What Makes You Beautiful", "Glad You Came", and "Payphone" will remain Summer anthems.
