Even if DIL isn't iconic, BEYONCÉ as a whole is, and that is far more powerful and important than a throwaway single. So you can cling to your notions that "phewf, DIL isn't iconic good now I feel better about my fave" but just know that BEYONCÉ did something really unique and interesting and has enjoyed enormous success.

The truth is most of the songs on the album are very popular. When you have TV shows and restaurants referencing album tracks like Blow. Everything in there is near iconic. How many times have you seen Gp reference album tracks from yourr fave's album?

I for one only know Katy Perry's singles. But all of you in this thread can't lie, you all know all the songs in BEYONCE. THAT is iconic.

It was a Top 10 radio hit for numerous weeks tho. I don't know the exact number, but you can look the receipts up for yourself. It would've stayed in the Top 10 for more weeks, also because it stalled at #11-#12 for some weeks in the digital sales chart. You can look up the receipts to that as well.

Either way, why are you making up excuses? Yes, streaming was the biggest factor in increasing it's chart position. Does that automatically make that less of a hit?

well i agree that Bey is a legend and that DIL is not iconic . For me Crazy in love and Single ladies are iconic , but DIL is "just" a hit.
