High sellers usually get nominated. Both will have outsold Beyonce who is likely to get one. I have to believe both of these do. Eminem has been nominated for AOTY 3 Times. I say he has a pretty good shot for his 4th.

Well Bey is way more acclaimed.
Not more acclaimed as a whole, but better selling, was 20/20 Experience.

Taylor's Speak Now was more acclaimed and had superior sales to MMLP2 but got snubbed.

People joke about it but Adele really did save the record industry. It was the equivelant of 28 separate artists selling 1 million albums each. And its not easy reaching a million these days.

These numbers are abysmal. 5SOS have 80% drop but still stay #2

I'm bored by most of the music right now so I'm probs overreacting to various things.

As for the question, I'll say again that only once since 2000 has a #2 album sold less than 38k - Foo Fighters behind Adele with 34k.
So this is probably a SS era record low, as I imagine the 90s had much better sales than the 2010s.
