Why is Kelly being snubbed?

This is actually a brilliant idea and all of you are just in shock right now. It will herd all of the populace in groups. Seriously though, now all of the members will have "managers" if you will, its easier than having a large group of randoms randomly judging if something is shady/said with malicious intent/innocent.
Athens has helped this evolve into the next state of being by breaking it down more and compartmentalizing everything. It will help the site grow bigger and bigger and honestly this is kind of ground-breaking since I have never heard of another forum doing things this smartly.
Im kind of sure that all the mess was due to the mods having a disagreement, kind of like members of a tribune arguing their point to a chief.
Athens trust me you made the right choice, now you just need to make sure everything comes into fruition judicially and thoughtfully!

I don't think hiring mods within the own stanbase would do any good cause a lot of the report/posts worth reporting within the thread would be ignored.
It would just be messy to hire a mod based on who you stan for.
I think this thread is to just get our attention for when they announce the actual mods.
(hopefully me. )

Maybe the idea seems bad because we don't really understand how the new revamped ATRL will be.
The revamp could just be being done to ensure convenience / organization for when we get to the new site.

Britney Spears (Katie + [Open Slot*])
Gaga (Retro + [Open Slot*])
Beyoncé (Foxaylove + [Open Slot*])
Ke$ha (Patrick)
Nicki Minaj (Doc)
Christina Aguilera (ain't.no.other)
Mariah Carey (Ace Reject)
Taylor Swift (Razzle)
Selena Gomez (Matty)
Demi Lovato (Phoenetic)
"Open slot" means we've determined that this fan base may require more than 1 moderator for representation.
We will be selecting 5 new moderators to represent the remaining artists:
Adele
Rihanna
P!nk
Avril Lavigne
Katy Perry

This is such a ******** Doc stans for Beyonce and Patrick for Britney.
Anyway I would like to see that Avril stan
Also I can't at you getting rid of the best mods and leaving there the worst ones bye.

While these are not the largest bases, everyone can agree that the 10 chosen are all the messiest bases! The Kelly Clarkson(the base itself) is not messier than any other base on here. Plus, most of those chosen are relevant but their faves are not in the middle of an era at all. I'm sure they will add mods accordingly whenever girls fan bases get messier/ more users become active!
Just relax, Athens is trying his best right now.

What would be smart now is to also have mods that only lurk in the other sections of the site, since usually members stay in one section or another(along with their respective bases).
Thats if you really want to put the iron fist on everyone and make the site very judicial(but it would make the site boring and not as active, and you still want the site to grow so you can make more money).
I think you need to really create a balance and clean up the membership a LOT, and THEN you can think about making a completely different(but attached) portion of the site for all of the closed things(like SYG, NHB, Dirty Talk, the Blogs, etc.). Hell, let banned members go to this section of the site so that they can enjoy themselves too, since this is now kind of separate from everything. That way you wouldn't have to worry about advertisement companies and stuff/or you could have different kinds of ads, pulling you so much more money.
Then EVENTUALLY, whenever people have all "chosen" sides, split them and make two different sites. That way they can both be run completely differently, by different teams, and feature members looking for the same thing. Because that really is the problem with atrl, it features no much clutter and things aren't really distinguished obviously. This would also make the site so much bigger, since atrl is really growing in so many ways, and you would make a killing in ads.
I don't know, just the hi musings of a business major.

The new layout is huge. It'll still run like ATRL but it'll have way more sections and prefixes and there will be way more threads to moderate than we have now. Plus with registration opening up so often, we're getting buried.

Honestly, without being biased, I feel like we should have Patrick be partially Britney and partially Kesha.
That "open slot" by Britney can just be filled by him, then. And we should definitely introduce another mod for
Kesha, as well, because we have a huge Kesha base - - - plus, if the mod in charge isn't really a spokesperson
for the artist on this site at all, it kinda erases authenticity. Other bases are gonna get mods that are fans of
particular artists and knowingly so, why shouldn't the Kesha base?
There are also a lot of other bases that aren't represented - that needs to be fixed.

I mean most of y'all don't even realize that many, many people do nothing but go straight to Your Top Ten and Games.
They could actually market the site properly and really do something with it.
This site already has such a dedicated group of users I mean come on.

I'm excited to see how it all works together / how the new mods will fit into the puzzle on the new site.
Also, though - I think activity on all parts of the site need to be represented well, too.
Not just the Base part of the site, though it is probably the most active. It needs to have a balance.

1. Why should mods be picked according to fanbase?
2. Why should some fanbases have 2 or even 3 mods? (Beyonce and Britney)
3. Why should some fanbases have 0 mods even if they're big? (Kelly, Madonna, etc.)
4. Why did they remove Kworb, Lipton etc. but kept trash like Katie, Phoenetic & ain'tnootherman?

I also kind of think making atrl more of a social network would be a good idea.
I think that they tried to do something like that during the Myspace era, but they need to flesh it out and do it better. Just update everything and make this site really, really modern. THAT would set ATRL apart even more(even though its already easily the biggest in its class besides ONTD) and make it more viable and visible to the GP.
I don't know I just see a lot of potential in this site.
