I always feel bad when I see iconic singers or bands releasing new music regularly, only for it to flop time and time again.

Gaga was her best pre BTW creatively drugs or not. Stuff like TF/TFM she didn't have any real expectations and didn't believe her own hype. The latter I believe really killed her momentum.

That's a good point. Even on drugs her performance skills aren't what they used to be. I really liked the concept of the SXSW performance, but something from her performances has been missing this era. She showed some of it again in the Roseland performances (at least the last one), but her stage presence and vocals have been lackluster. I have high hopes for artRAVE, but I'm kinda worried she won't live up to her past tours. Not sure what the problem is lately.
