Yes, Donatella, one of Gaga's funnest songs with digestible silly lyrics everyone loves and can understand easily. The bridge is amazing and would make anyone at the club go crazy, and "VOO-DO-NANA" has potential to be iconic.
The critics aren't buying her songs, they don't matter. The public is the only important factor here, and they weren't here for it despite the 50 remixes, Donatella is just waiting to smash and you know it
The boring R&B mess that is DWUW could never, Donatella remains unbothered.
drag, Versace is also a popular brand in the hip hop community right now
so Donatella would have received some urban appeal
Honestly guys, nothing of what's left on ARTPOP will do well. Not even Gypsy anymore.
I love the album and everything but it just didn't connect with the audience, even if I don't want to admit it.
Better luck next era.

well of course not now
but you gotta admit that if Donatella would have been released instead of GUY she would be in the top 100 right now
I mean teenage white girls ( main people that buy music) like fashion and singing about being bitches
I've been thinking and thinking and you know what? It might be better if she doesn't release Act II.
I think the best thing she could do now is doing the tour and start working on something completely new. Releasing another album under the ARTPOP brand seems pretty pointless. Especially if what we're going to get are leftovers that didn't make the first part. It would generate a lot of confusion, I don't know.
She could still release the songs on the app, though.
The fact her new manager let her new single slide so far on iTunes concerns me, lol.
Who knows, maybe he's a secret miracle worker and I'm going to be proved wrong. I'd LOVE to be proved wrong this time, I want her to succeed because she deserves it/works really hard on her material. But there is absolutely no excuse for how this single is performing.
Its adds from major stations are lackluster, the AI updates are low, and she continues to freefall on iTunes (gradually). It's just not a pretty picture. Am I saying it's her fault? No. But perhaps it's just not connecting. The entire project since November seems to have just been one big struggle for her. I want to think they have plans to turn this around, however I am very discouraged.

Well, I'm not going to pull a 'I never liked G.U.Y. as a single' as some monsters have done because I really like it and I think it could have worked perfectly as a single BUT I'm with you when you say you would have prefered another song. She had nothing left to lose, and it looks like she went for the safest track (which hasn't worked). At that point I would have been a bit riskier and tried something like Sexxx Dreams, J&D, ARTPOP, or even Donatella as you say. We are doing bad anyway so why not? There's always the possibility that it miraculously works for the most random reason.
Sad thing is the ones trashing Donatella are probably the ones waiting for DWUW to go #1.
a sad mess, but at least we know the tea and so does E! ( a network that appeals to white girls that buy anything that is fun just like they bought Donatella after hearing it on the commercial)
