Am I the only one who thinks that her real vocal decline started in 1995? Her voice after the Music Box/Christmas era got thinner and thinner, and while it allowed her to achieve that bright agile tone, it took away a lot of her power.
It was certainly different, but I wouldn't call it a decline or a negative change. She still had the consistency and ease of her prime.
I guess. I think the change was due to vocal reassignment that she was force to because remember during her debut she was criticized for sounding too much like Nippy. If only she stayed with her debut sound, I wonder how she would have sound like today

I actually wish she had retained her Daydream sound from the beginning. I feel like she kind of pushed herself too much during the beginning of her career. Like in the second chorus of VOL when she sings "Prayed through the nights, SOOOOOOOOOO faithfully" it sounds like she was trying to be more like Whitney the powerhouse than the coloratura she is. Daydream was truly magical. Though I guess each of her eras are special because of how different and short lived they are

Dem ash need basic researching skills Can't blame we're so lotion.
That would be SUCH a good lineup. I thought it would be messy but looking at it like that it could be great. Plus #DemBabies are making cameos too! I wouldn't mind Da Brat either.
R. Kelly can be cut.
I'd like a Whitney cover too. Imagine if Mariah and Stevie duet on Saving All My Love For You.

We know Mimi is leaning more toward Urban again with this album, and if shes going to do an R&B ballad,or mid-tempo,it needs ot sound something like this. I think next single shouldn't be about missing love,or mushy shyt. She needs be angry. >
No more "WBLT rehashes!!!!!!!
If it's going to be another love song, the nit needs to be her in the position of a scorn lover,we NEED Fierceness, angst, and grittiness,
No more Rainbow farts, and unicorns!!
Something in the vein of "Scars" would be nice on he album.
Nobody else probably likes this song, but "4real4real" is such an underrated bop.
I don't understand a single word she's singing, but srsly tho
Dem whispers, dem cooing, dem harmonies >>>>
