Precisely this. And its not like labels haven't given tracks complete remixes before. e.g. Snoop Dogg's Wet being remixed into Sweat for international version, Sage the Gemini being dance-rap internationally, etc.
Nicki doesn't seem above that, so its entirely possible she does a song with two different versions. Hip-hop for urban and dance-pop for pop.
Who honestly knows? None of us.
