yeah but it was still #2 before it was discounted and then remixed. all they did was simply bump it up one spot. aside from that it still did very well (perhaps i shouldn't have said #1, my point still stands on that)
and okay, i can see your concern. if anything it's because sales are on a decline that will be why Bday will get pushed up higher. it's a very slow point we're at right now. if handled effectively, the song can shoot up on iTunes with a music video release that will bring it up on BB and then a quick radio release will boost it up higher until maybe in a few weeks later it'll be going strong. whether it can go #1 would, however, depend on if they need to perform the same formula for LFN. they shouldn't imo, though, Katy received some backlash after those tactics for LFN and TOTGA, Katy's trying to make herself look good not just undo everything simply to get a #1.
