You don't have to parade around saying "I STAN FOR NICKI. LOOK AT ME" but you don't have to hide it because you're afraid of what people think and what they might say to you. If someone you know is trashing Nicki Minaj in a conversation you're having with them, are you going to sit there and agree or actually put your opinion into the conversation? That's what would separate hiding the fact you're a stan and actually not being scared to speak your mind. It has nothing to do with "attention whoring".

Exactly. For me, I've NEVER broadcast that I even like Nicki. However, if you're close to me, you know I use her. It's not anything that has to be explicitly stated. It just comes up. It's not as big of a deal as some of you make it out to be. My class knows because they see my FB cover pictures, and we had to write an essay on English class for "fame" in general, so I wrote one for Nicki and it was picked the top 3 best in the class and the teacher told me to read it in front of everyone, so everyone knows.
