I actually would've loved DWUW as the first single, although it NEVER would've happened because 1) Gaga probably didn't want her comeback single to be a collab and 2) She didn't even want it as the 2nd single, so I doubt she would make it the 1st.

I would still want Applause as a single before G.U.Y though. MANiCURE could be a hit but, in my opinion, those vocals before the first chorus are grating.

It reached #16 based solely on airplay and minimal sales. A video at its peak could've pushed it to Top 10, perhaps even Top 5 Not to mention the possible full embrace by radio and increased sales.

This is worse than Monster never being a single
