Starsips is like the only pop song I absolutely like on PFRR.

How I feel:

Pound the Alarm: I literally only listen to the first rap verse then skip it. I wish she she rapper both verses.

Automatic: It doesn't have longevity for me, like, I would bop to it once or twice but that's it. until next week or something.

Whip It: Like Automatic.

Beautiful Sinner: I feel like this has so much potential if it stuck with one direction. It's tying to be Rap, R&B, Pop and EDM at the same time and it's just a mess. I love her vocals in it though.

Young Forever: I adore this one.

Fire Burns: I don't get the hate for this one, I like listening to it when I'm relaxing or chilling. It's just vocals and minimum production = simple and relaxing.

Gun Shot: This one makes me feel like I'm in an island filled with joy and happiness.

Va Va Voom: I love when the beat drops in the chorus and I LOVE the bridge. Other than that it can gtfo.

Masquerade: The second pop masterpiece of the decade.

I like you! This is my exact sentiments when it comes to Nicki. Nicki is often referenced as a "Pop Star" outside of Urban community and even after PF:RR, even some of the Urban community sees her as such.

I'm not against Pop Nicki at all because some of her Pop tracks would be praised to the heavens if they were a Pop singer's song.

As far as performance aspect, clearly Nicki is more comfortable performing her Hip-Hop songs because that's her niche. I never expected/expect much from her with the Pop performances.

If we thought the ridicule was bad after PF:RR, if she ever makes another Pop song of those proportion again, the backlash will be even worse.

My whole point was that lots of people here already judge a rapper because they don't him which instantly makes them 'irrelevant' to them, which annoys me because Nas or Cam'ron are better artists than for example idk Miley Cyrus while there would be more hype for Miley just because she is popular and outspoken. That's not me saying I have a better music taste than you or other people here? Starships : I just can't get into it. It's way too cheesy. IMO it's up there with Friday by Rebecca Black.

Pound the Alarm: Her best EDM song. It's extremely catchy and the rap verse slays.
I wish the hook was more explosive like it is while watching the video.

Automatic: A nice little bop.

Whip It: It's just ok.

Beautiful Sinner: I love her vocals on this song. The hook & bridge slays.

Young Forever: I hate the first minute and a half of this. It doesn't slay me until the bridge kicks in.

Marilyn Monroe: I love the verses & bridge. The hook is ok.

In the grand scheme of "Nicki Minaj", I feel we wouldn't even be having this discussion as much if Nicki debuted as a Pop artist w/ tracks such as Pound The Alarm, Whip It, and Masquerade.

I feel as if someone like Pitbull or Flo-Rida released a quality, hard-hitting, Hip-Hop song, it would be embraced.

Also, fans of the major Pop girls tend to be more receptive to when they dabble and experiment into Hip-Hop/Urban music. That is the polar opposite for most fans of Hip-Hop and Rap.
