W H Y are you all saying "Summer 2015" when Summer 2014 is only 2 months away (for you guys)? Especially when the last album was a year and a half ago and she's been recording this one for quite a while and has amazing producers anyway.

I understand from the perspective that people want her impact to be the biggest and best thing she's ever done. But one of the things I love most about Rih is that she doesn't make her fans wait like 3 years between albums. She keeps it new and she keeps it fresh. It won't take her another year and 2 months to conceptualise a theme and a sound for R8.

I think her (hair) muse for R8 should be Mia from Pulp Fiction. Clothes-wise, continue to keep it fresh with Mel and continue to be the trendsetter she is. I feel like music-wise, R8 is probably already done and they're just waiting for the right moment to drop it.

Plus, she didn't have to step into the arena with Katy/Beyonce/Britney/Lorde/Miley/Selena. That was crazy. The pop industry had never seen so many female pop stars go head to head like the end of 2013. At the same time I wouldn't want Rihanna getting lumped in with Nicki and Kesha. I love them, but, Rihanna's above them on so many levels.

But Summer 2015 is too far away, I can't wait that long.

Summer 2014 makes no sense because there hasn't been a single announcement. There haven't even been rumors. She's obviously been working but that doesn't mean she's been working on R8 or that the album is coming out this year. All we know is that Dreamworks has invested a lot into the Home album and they won't want her to be distracted in any way. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a "no other projects" clause in her Dreamworks contract tbh.

I think most of us thought Summer 2014 was a real possibility a few months ago, but unless she goes the #newrules route and announces it a month before release, I don't see how it could happen.

We got 7 albums in 8 years. Waiting a full 2 years is not that long seriously. Plus she just did 2 features it not like we haven't had a new song in years. . The over dramatics in the Navy


I feel like so many of y'all are okay with Rih doing the bare minimum. Like record 14 songs and thats it album done release it. UM NO how about she record 20+ songs. . . how about she help writes songs based on where her life is right now, how about she record one or two videos before the album is released. . . how about she do festivals/ shows around the world get people excited for a new era.

Rih needs to milk this break not fall right back into her old ways. She'll never reach her full potential that way

I hope she does get pregnant soon just to piss everybody off.

tbh I was so against Home initially. The thought of it just gave me Britney Smurfs 2 teas - am I using teas correctly? I don't really get it...everyone on here acts really sassy and talks about spilling their tea. But yeah, after seeing the success of Frozen, I think it could be a good career move, as well as expanding her fan base to younger kids and gaining back the approval of parents who disapprove of her because of her sexual nature and/or her decisions to take Chris back both times.

She's still young sis and it's not like she's struggling like some of the other girls. She'll get there - wasn't Madonna literally Rih's age when she debuted and Rih has surpassed a lot of her achievements already.

I completely agree! And Rih will get pregnant sooner than most think. She wasn't joking when she said she wanted a kid by 30. She's 26 now and enjoying her first career break. I wouldn't be surprised if she announced her pregnancy (~3-4 months by then) at the 2015 grammy's. Rih's never seemed like someone who necessarily wants to get married, she just wants a kid
