idk about Lana. The one word I would use to describe Born To Die is 'fluffy'. It's just too much for my ears. There's not much variety to it so it becomes overbearing. Plus her lyrics lack substance and are just heavily reliant on imagery and Americana archetypes. There's nothing much in them.
I am would root for her though, she just needs to improve variety and add personality and stop being such a needy 'don't leave me i need u' ho. Ride is a great song and I love the bit where she sings about being '****ing crazy'. That was the one time I felt personality in her work.
