anyways.. Jon does die in the end of Book 5, but none of us believe he's dead, he'll most probably come back to life in book 6!

SIGH OF RELIEF

After reading it on-and-off for the best part of nine months I've finally finished reading A Clash of Kings. Setting myself the goal of reading all of the remaining books by the end of the year rather than giving up after 300 pages and leaving it until almost a year later like I did with ACOK this time last year.

Also stoked for the new season of the show. By far my favourite thing on television.

Clash Of Kings is pretty much 100% setup for Storm Of Swords, so you're gonna really enjoy the next one! Honestly SOS is one of the best books ever!

And I think its funner to savor the books! I bought them all in 2011 and I'm still only 300 pages into AFFC haha

Yeah I do wanna pace myself and enjoy the books as much as possible. Their size is a little daunting to me considering before this year began I was never much of a bookworm anyway and obviously the books in this series get longer as they go on ( ), but I bought the box set where books 3 and 5 are split into two separate halves which I'm hoping will make them a little easier to digest for someone like me.

But yeah, you're probably right. The world-building and the character development in this series is amazing. AGOT was so action-packed compared to ACOK which discouraged me a little but I've heard ACOK is the slowest book of the series so I'm hopeful the remaining books will keep me as entertained

Yeah! I only read GOT in between semesters (April - June and December haha) because I want to actually be able to digest the books without having to worry about classes. And the length is totally worth it though, yes the buildup can be slow but I'll take it in order to get the huge awesome moments. It's actually hard for me to read other stuff now (especially teen fiction) because it's all just so inferior.

Also just a warning, a lot of people hate AFFC because it slows everything down and introduces a lot of new POVs, but I personally love it (and all the new POVs) so... you'll have to judge for yourself.
