I wasn't being sarcastic or anything. There are lots of Americans on ATRL though, and the US is a largely religious country. Even if they're gay they say that the bible doesn't explicitly say that homosexuality is forbidden (which I agree with), or at least it says other things (like eating shellfish or wearing mixed fabrics or some other bs like that is also forbidden) and nobody takes that seriously, so why do they take the bit about laying with another man seriously? Even though I don't believe in God and I think the bible is just a storybook, it's incredibly ridiculous to pick and choose the parts of the bible that people think apply to what's wrong and what's right and what's just stupid and should be ignored (like the mixed fabrics part - what in the world?)

That's why I believe in God, but don't like to think about Him from the religion angle.

They can though, they're just the cause of chemicals in the body reacting due to a particular stimulus (an attractive person, a helpful gesture, etc.) Nothing hard to understand about that.

Yes, but I'm not a fan of organized religion, churches, etc. tbh. I feel like your relationship with God is personal.

Your posts about god and religion are always ao ignorant.

I kinda agree with all of this. I stopped believing in God when I was 6 years old, so basically when I learnt there was no such thing as magic or anything we refer to as 'supernatural' ie. not real.
Edit: not that this is my only basis for not believing in it lol

!!!!!! Exactly.
Basically, the unknown scares people and I think religion was formed as sort of a security blanket (and also for organization but that's a different story). A way to explain the unexplained. It's way more comforting for people to think that something bad happened because "It's gods will" or someone died because "They're going to a better place." than to just say "because life sucks and that's the way it is."

Well I did forget about Merica her power i still didn't think so man of the gays would be down with that
That is what it say though although i don't believe it either obviously (mistranslation mixed with misinterpretation with a hint of corruption)
I don't know about the mixed fabrics honestly but the reason for the majority of Leviticus's laws are for health reasons, to differentiate themselves as a nation from the others around it (dont know why that was important but slay i guess) and preparation for war i.e always making babies and not wasting them...

Not some bearded man perched up on a cloud somewhere but something bigger than us, possibly. I mean we are on a spinning ball of dirt flying through an ever expanding universe, so why can't something else be other there.

Yes. Not in the biblical way but I do believe there is a higher power, some sort of god.

Chemicals? That's like so shallow, isn't it? But still, I don't want to seem a fanatic. These are your beliefs, I have nothing against that.
