UPDATE!
In part 2 of our interview with Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins, the super producer spoke exclusively to Rap-Up TV about reuniting with Britney Spears her new album.
Jerkins was back in the studio with Spears
for the first time in seven years to produce some tracks for the pop star’s as-yet-untitled sixth studio album, which he revealed is
scheduled for an early 2009 release. With this album, the trackmaster behind Spears’ “Overprotected (Remix),” said
he’s “trying to reinvent her” and described
the new sound as “very dancey, really uptempo, in the clubs, real aggressive, and catchy.”
Darkchild called the superstar a “professional” and cited a recent session where she completed a song in two hours. “She walked in at 8:30 and was out by 10:30.”
The new album sounds like Blackout 2(Darkchild/Danja) but more "Toy Soldier" (Searn Garrett) with a beautiful touch of ITZ (Guy Sighworth). HOLY ****!
