Please, without Hilary's significance with Disney's formula, Miley wouldn't even be where she is.

Actually I saw a special, Disney were starting with Miley around the same time as Hilary was in Lizzie.

^That might be true, but I doubt they had anything legit on an 8 year old (she was 8 then) to do anything with. Because of the success of Hilary Duff, they were able to expand and take chances on other acts. It's the "winning formula" we were speaking of in that other thread with "We Belong Together" => "Bye Bye." Disney makes smart choices. HSM/Cheetah Girl=>Camp Rock = same results.

so, what is your list based? only from billboard hot 100? if you said that your list based from US chart, you'd better mention other chart, like modern rock, pop 100, adult top 40, digital, and many more chart on billboard..
for example you said that Mandy Moore is a one hit wonder with "I Wanna Be with You", but people still recognize them from the other songs, like Candy, Someday We'll Know or Cry.. it means that She had more than one hit..
other example is P.O.D.. It's true that "Youth of the Nation" are the highest charting song in hot 100.. but they had "Alive" as one of the P.O.D. well-known song.. and don't forget "Will You"..
This is just my comments. however, your effort to make this thread is really appreciated.. thx

Really? I didn't hear anything about that. From my knowledge Michael Poryes started writing the shows plot in 2004 when 'Thats So Raven' (which he also created) began. He based it off of the Raven episode 'Goin' Hollywood'...and it was originally called Alexis Texas, the role was offered unsuccessfully to Jojo...Disney Channel Entertainment president stated they first came into contact with Miley in 2005 when she auditioned for the role, when she got it that same year, they named the show under the working title The Popstar Life! until 'Hannah Montana' came. So IDK what that special was talking about? Disney should comment on that one. btw It's a Laugh Productions, Inc. (which also owns Raven's production company) also said they came into contact with her in 2005.
And yes, Hilary was the first to do well and prove Disney's formula to be profitable. Therefore, Disney bases this winning formula on all upcoming artists (Raven, Vanessa, Miley, Christy, Demi the list goes on), there success compared to Duff doesn't matter, she perfected the formula and Disney uses it with these up coming actresses.

Once again, I agree. Which is why I said this list must be opinion based. Cool idea though.

It was E! News and she was talking with her Dad and I remember saying Disney came to her in 2002-2003, or something like that. It was around the time the "controversial" photos leaked.

Here are a few others who are one-hit wonders, or at least in the US:
Alice Deejay (Better Off Alone)
DJ Sammy (Heaven)
ATC (Around The World)
DHT (Listen To Your Heart)

Jimmy Eat World: In terms of Billboard Hot 100, yes. Otherwise, WRONG! They've had top 10 hits in the Mod Rock charts.

The Billboard Hot 100 is the combination of all and it's the real indication of songs' success. It's more comprehensive and objective. Mandy Moore's "Candy" came out in 1999 and her only hit in the 2000s is "I Wanna Be With You". The fact that she had released 3 albums after it and none of them had a charting hit single makes her a one hit wonder. The definition of One Hit Wonder is subjective to many people, but it's usually when artists only had one Top 40 mainstream hit or known of one huge song are called One Hit Wonders.

After saying 'With Love' was bigger than 'Come Clean' you definitely lost all 'credibility', there's really no point on arguing.

What mistake? Theres no mistake to have been made. 'With Love' did better than 'CC' in the USA, just not on radio play, even though both received substantial play, I never made a mistake.

After the note was made that "CC" did better in the US, you switched to say you meant worldwide.
And I just checked, "With Love" peaked lower than "Come Clean" in all of the countries they were in........
