someone submitted me this and I really found it interesting.

The poem Taylor tweeted by Cummings is about Self discovery, influenced by the philosophy of transcendentalism and it’s called “Maggie and Milly and Molly and May” and each girl represents a different aspect of self.
Maggie is the “sweetly troubled one” - when she feels troubled she turns to nature to find consolation and she finds art in the form of music.
Milly is lonely and stranded, and here Cummings speaks of himself - that sometimes he’s incapable of writing and has to find a balance within himself as the person and the artist.
Molly is “Chased by a horrible thing” - and here he speaks about his fears and nightmares in life.
May is the dreamer and she also represents loneliness but from two different sides. One side is of how loneliness is a large part of her life but it isn’t overwhelming or suffocating and the other side, which she discovered from the loneliness, is the contemplative state from which creation is borne.
Maybe Taylor reflects this poem on herself. In her song “The Lucky One“‘s tour video, she says it is lonely in the top, and I guess although she famous and successful she is “sweetly troubled”.

But, I don’t know, I could be overacting and over analyzing and it may simply be that she just likes his poetry.
