I see you're point about radio blacklisting songs though and about how it's harder to get noticed f you're a new artist, as people haven't really been given the opportunity to listen to it and hence are unable to get into it. That makes alot of sense, however when comparing artists that have already broken through it's pretty much based on the public to decide which songs are popular.I still don't understand what you mean by easy to digest though?

I feel that most songs on the radio are way too easy to listen to. Like, where is the fun in music if its not challenging you anymore. Whenever I am in my car with no CDs and I turn on the radio, everything sounds so polished and boring. Example:
VERSE CHORUS VERSE CHORUS....bridge? OH NOPE A WILD DANCE BREAK APPEARS! ...ah there is the BRIDGE! final blow? YES THE LAST CHORUS BEiNG SUNG WITH HIGER NOTES! or just extra layers of synth/piano/guitars/backgroundvocals etc. /endtrack
Like, I have to like it ironically to have a good time driving to whatever. It's a tough world
