I hate how Kanye, Drake, Beyoncé, Jay Z and all those other clowns pretend to be giving the middle finger to the industry but don't do anything to push the boundaries with their music.
In general I'm pretty sure gayness among artists was a lot more accepted in the 80s/early 90s. You had RuPaul being relevant in the mainstream, Queen cross-dressing, George Michael being a flamboyant mess, Elton, Prince's everything really....now? 90% of male artists are either Usher 2.0 or "guy in a suit against a big band with minimal choreo". It's tragic.

I mean Boy George and heavy metal-glam bands were sort of a big deal in the 80s. It's amazing how male artist have regressed in terms of androgyny and it being acceptable during the turn of the new millennium.
