No probably not. This isn't a musical and you bring up an excellent point. I feel like it's really misguided to compare Frozen to other soundtrack albums. Frozen is LITERALLY a musical. It's not the same as a song playing in the background of a major scene. The songs themselves are the biggest moments in Frozen.
Unless they're composed by Hans Zimmer or John Williams, soundtracks are rarely big sellers. From everything they're telling us, it seems like Dreamworks is going to make the concept album a really big deal. They're expecting to make money from it. Because of those hints, I'm expecting a lot of promo and push from them. Usually movie producers could care less about the soundtrack. Sure, it'll come out, but they rarely hype them up.
The HOME album will be unique in that aspect. I really don't think that we'll be able to predict its sales, what the music will be like, or whether songs will be sent to radio. The closest comparison I can think of is the Despicable Me/Despicable Me 2 soundtracks. I remember them putting a lot of emphasis on Pharrell's involvement when the first movie came out.
Sis it said in the article Rihanna charter TIP will perform the songs in the film. Its not going to be all background music, if anything a mixture of both.
