Not some of y'all wanting Nicki to turn into some conscious rapper.
I think Nicki needs to just talk about topics that apply to her. She knows how to be versatile and talk about more than one thing. PF had a lot of diversity. Brag tracks like DIOE and Blazin, introspective tracks like Here I Am and Dear Old Nicki, and then the love songs like Your Love and Right Thru Me. The biggest waste on PFRR is that literally all the hip-hop tracks (bar RBMS which is more RnB) are about her money and stats. TRU had some diversity tho. As long as that's not the case with this album, which LAN has already proven it isn't, then all will be good.
I also don't want her doing things that won't feel genuine to her. Just because Drake, Kendrick, Beyonce, etc do all these skits and transitions and 2-in-1 tracks doesn't mean she has to for her album to seem deep or meaningful.
Oh, and as far as people missing Popnika, I'm not gonna lie, I've been watching some of her PFRR era interviews/ music videos and I do kind of miss that side of her. She was such a damn mess but it was endearing. Charlemagne makes such a good point about her versatility and the vocal hip-hop community on the net not ever being happy with her regardless of what she does (which is true even now) that it almost makes me want her to just say '**** it!' and not have to worry about sounding too pop. ****** will never be happy with her.
