Ive met feminine gays who even wear female clothing and make up who could easily kick most people's ass and aren't afraid to speak their mind to anybody. A lot of fem gays are very brave tough people because of all the hate they have recieved.

Being fem doesn't make you any less of a man, just as being masculine doesn't make you any more of a man.

everyone is different and everyone has their own personality. there's no reason to group fems vs masc. so you know a few feminine gays who are "extra" so what. you just so happen to know them. not all feminine gays are flamboyant like that.

I haven't met a fem guy yet so I honestly wouldn't know if I'm attracted to them or not. All I really know is that in this area, most of the gays are masc/straight-acting types for the most part. Even then I wouldn't knock on fems just because society says so; which is the whole reason why we're in this mess to fight for equal rights. To fight against hetero-normative standards.
It has something to do with self-hatred which I think a lot of gay men deal with. It also has to do with societies stereotypes for gender roles. What about effeminate straight men? They exist too and are also seen as less desirable than the masculine male by society.
I think the masculine gays just have one thing extra than the Fem gays, it is that when they are in public alone they won't be suspected to be gays. At the end of the day, both of them love **** and that is that.
The funny thing is that I'm willing to bet my life that at least 30% of these self-victimizing feminine types have strong, non-politically correct preferences of their own, be it racial, weight based, height based, etc, etc...
And I'd be even more willing to bet that they (30%+) only chase masculine guys.
I don't have a problem with feminine gays as long as the way they're acting is genuine. If that's really who they are, who am I to judge? However, in my experience (and I'm sure some can relate), I have found many feminine gays to be obnoxious and loud. I realize that all feminine gays aren't like that though.
In a way, I feel as if feminine gays are needed in our community. The way they unapologetically let people know who they are...the way they take pride in being gay...I think they're a lot bolder than the masc gays. We need in-your-face people who are proud of their sexuality. We need that to make progress. We need to strike that balance. Not every gay person wants to be spotted from a mile away, trust me I don't, but I certainly have respect for those who are bold enough to not care.
