To be honest I see in Gaga more an indie or "undergound" artist who became by accident to super-stardom.

I mean MVs aside, her complete change of image, the shock effects, the sex party anthems made with the IT producers of the time like Red One. There was nothing indie about her debut and there was nothing accidental about her rise to fame and prominence.

Come on, the production of Just Dance is as indie as it can gets on the same level of Peaches.

And if she had the same success of Peaches she would get also the same acclaim from the critics today as Peaches or P. J. Harvey.
