Honestly, as much of a bummer as it is, I just don't think kids are into the Muppets and you can't build a functioning franchise based solely off of nostalgia.
The original worked because it was a long-return for them and people love Jason Segel.
I really liked it too, but thought it was lacking the emotional oomf of the first.
Still think it'll get a Best Original Song nom for Piggy and Sáltine's duet (and will lose to Oscaryl for ITW's new original song).
