All I remember is that a lot of people were disappointed that it was nothing like her Monster verse (minus Roman's Revenge and Did It On 'Em).
I feel like it could have been a big hip-hop event (and maybe it was idk), but the pop influence on the album turned away people within the deeper part of the hip-hop community and then My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy was released that week.
