Did I say the charts were racist? No one is doing 100k in latin music in america and that is the fact, and the fact that Shakira is still slaying 24 years into her career tells it all.
Shakira. isn't really a latin music album though. It's not in Spanish or anything. Most people consider Shakira to be a mainstream artist in the US.
Expected a bit more for a GLOBAL icon, especially with the amount of tv promo and Target deal. These numbers are on par with Christina's "Lotus" and less than her last opening.
Lotus deserved 70k. Christina trolled Max Martin, RCA, Sony and her damn fans!
as a loyal fan, I agree not great not bad just expected.. last hit, in 2006, she comes and goes from the music business does her thing comes back. was hoping for that number 1 but Oh well...I still laugh at some XTINA stans dragging her though. They should be the last ones, commenting on this SALES (ESTIMATE) yeah yeah xtina didn't do promo or have any target deal, but at least my girl is doing extremely well on ITUNES WW when has hastina? girl bye with your 56 metacritic album.
EDIT: this goes to a lot of you guys.. THE US is not the only MUSIC MARKET out there. SHE IS A GLOBAL STAR, I WOULD LOVE TO SEE one of your faves sell out stadiums in some of the places this woman has gone. BEY, RIRI GAGA fans take a seat y'all good in my book (a lot of respect for those 3). but SERIOUSLY some of you guys shouldn't even bother commenting, when some of your signature faves are nothing OUTSIDE OF THE US.
