The song is kind of bad and clearly flopping but it could be salvaged if only her and her team had some common sense. Start by making the "G.U.Y." portion of the music video its own, cute 4 minute long music video without the pretentious, badly-directed intro segments and the credits. Then discount the song. And perform it somewhere, I'm sure she has enough cache left to book a televised stage. If she did all this in the same week she could get a Top 40 placement on the Hot 100 and not appear as a complete flop.

The Immaculate Collection has sold 30 million, not 27 million, so you are correct. It came out in 1990 by the way, the era known as the "1990s".

It's always funny when the Britney fans can only come with receipts of her influence on "every record label trying to create a Britney clone" and then mention Jessica Simpson and Mandy Moore as their examples. So two girls with better voices didn't make it because their images weren't the complete sexpot drone with hit Max Martin songs. Um, congrats, I guess. Your fave built a fanbase on her bought songs and an image that was sexy a decade ago but now leaves more than enough to be desired. It has, actually. It's been widely-reported and is the accepted figure for its sales. In many territories its the highest selling album ever by a woman, or one of the highest selling.

It's still an album (compilations are albums too), and it still outsold Gaga's ENTIRE vomit filled career so I don't know why you're still talking.
