When I was growing up, everyone referred to the corner shop (off-licences I think in the US?) as the "p*ki shop". I did as well, I didn't even know it was offensive to say until high school. I just thought that's what they were called.
My home town is 99% white, the racism is unreal. The new thing is blaming the Polish and Romanians for everything.
I swear half the conversations I've had with Canadians have degenerated into bashing Justin Bieber and regretting the fact that he is arguably the thing most associated with Canada
