Like your mother monster, you seem to like to have it both ways.
Hence, the meltdowns.

They see nothing wrong with it.

Agreed, but it can also be because they're not mature enough to understand this. I've worked with friends that's given me great opportunities but they let me go out of no where because I wasn't performing well. They said they had to do it because keeping me was effecting them. At the end of the day I understand that you can't always have the mentality that your friends, peers, or whoever will have your back 100%.
And I don't get why the monsters are overacting. He just knew he was making any money anymore. Should he continue his "friendship", even if he knew he was going to lose money? Or he could just leave before the decline starts happening. That's why in the real world, it's called a partnership, and if you guys are not old enough to understand that, this is why you do not mix friends with business. However, it looks like Akon is professional about it (which I admire) because he did not leave her maliciously, and I'm sure they are on good terms.

And if most of you were Akon, I'm sure you would have seen the writing on the wall and left too when it started hitting where it hurts (the bank account).

You get a candid look into how the industry operates and the Monsters are all up in arms because they didn't know that the products, artists, were nothing more than capitalist ventures.
Lady Gaga is a product and she considers herself to be a product. She markets herself in certain ways to attract attention, she's had surgery to change the way her face looks, she changes her clothes at the drop of a hat to try and keep people interested, she has released products in her name that are totally irrelevant to her music. Not to mention that she has been in bed with Versace for the better part of a year.
The reality is that this is what executives generally think of the people they sign.

Such a silly and childish way to look at it and doesn't make any point whatsoever.
Akon really got the monsters upset.

I love how people are acting like Gaga ISN'T a product.
Newsflash: music is a business. Partnering with a major label is a BUSINESS. And these labels are here to make business decisions and make money. Nobody is doing this for the feels. Gaga IS a product, whether she likes it or not.
Akon was smart to pull out. I really don't see Gaga doing anything but crashing and burning from this point on. And I'm just being honest.

Exactly.
