Applause was at least a somewhat decent song, and had a catchy melody to counterbalance the lackluster, unrelatable lyrics. The only redeeming factor to G.U.Y. is Zedd's production. It's a lot less appealing, and in the video, it appears after the worst song on the whole album, which would lead most people to close it out before even getting to G.U.Y. And that's IF they aren't turned away by seeing that the video is almost 12 minutes long due to the unnecessary block of credits at the end.

I liked Just Dance, fresh and direct - a hit.
All Gaga music after that - I don't understand. GUY music and video isn't so much different from Bad Romance, Poker Face etc.
So it's for me an even more achievement to sell with the combo Fame/The Fame Monster 14 mil than Adele's 21 with 28mil.
